The president of SEC-registered investment advisory firm The Estate Planners Group which he established in 2002, and he is also the founder and president of private fund management company Hamilton Asset Advisers which he established in 2009. David is a Certified Financial Planner®, and he also holds a Certified Private Wealth Adviser® designation from Yale University. He has been recognized in national rating publications as one of “America’s Top Financial Planners.” David has been in the financial services industry since 1996 and has over 25 years of experience in executive management positions. Prior to founding The Estate Planners Group, he worked at several financial firms, including Freedom Financial, Prudential Financial, and Faith Financial Planners. David is a registered Investment Adviser Representative, holds a Series 66 license, and is also a licensed insurance producer in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. David graduated with high honors from The College of New Jersey in 1980. He earned two master’s degrees in 1989, and later earned an Executive MBA in Asset and Wealth Management in 2013 from Carnegie Mellon University.

Manuel is a successful investment manager, executive and entrepreneur, and has been
advising xEquity on its investments. Manuel worked for 20 years at Monitor Group (now
part of Deloitte) in its consulting division, helping industry leaders develop and
implement growth and value creation strategies, and in Monitor’s investment division
where he co-founded Monitor Capital and was the portfolio manager of its high
performing affiliated hedge funds. He was a partner and an elected member of Monitor
Group’s board of directors. Manuel has also performed as the CEO, CFO or COO of
several companies, has served on multiple boards of directors, and has founded or co-
founded five companies. Additionally, Manuel was instrumental in developing private
equity investment programs in the US and abroad, including growing a multi-sector
private equity group in the US, where he led investments and chaired the investment
committee overseeing the deployment of over $1 billion.
More recently he has been working with companies on transformative programs to
reposition them strategically and maximize value creation, and advising investment
groups on their real estate asset strategy. Manuel has a degree in Production
Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and an MBA from Harvard
Business School.

He has led more than 20+ deals valued at over $200 million, achieving robust returns of 20%-39% IRR. Kyle's professional background includes distinguished management consulting and deal management experience, advising Fortune 500 executives on deal sourcing, strategic and financial due diligence, and orchestrating the seamless execution of 40+ deals with transaction values between $0.5 to $40 billion. He holds a strategic role in executive oversight of our development and acquisition projects, where he is responsible for project entitlements encompassing site scoping, architectural planning, governmental liaisons, builder relationships, and construction management. In portfolio assets, he maintains supervision over our property management division, ensuring seamless and efficient operational processes that yield exceptional returns and unparalleled customer service.

Phillip has 17+ years of diversified experience in real estate across investment & acquisitions, property management, renovations, as well as new developments and construction for multifamily apartments. As a serial entrepreneur, he has launched a variety of businesses across real estate, manufacturing, consumer/retail, technology and investments.  He is the founder of a family of vertically integrated companies in construction, remodeling, and manufacturing that serve the multifamily sector in Tampa Bay, FL.  Phillip holds Specialization Certification in Alternative Investments, Accounting, and Finance from Harvard Business School Online, along with Computer Science Certification and a State Certified General Contractor license (#CGC1526762).

Gary A. Tave, P.E. with over 35 years in facilities acquisition, design, construction, strategic operations, and disposal, holds unparalleled expertise and mastery in the real estate investment sector. Upon retirement from active duty as Commander, U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps in 2008, Gary meticulously curated a self-managed real estate portfolio in Tampa Bay, Florida that grew from 40 to over 500 units valued at more than $100 million.  Always focused on the market, he divested much of that portfolio during the pandemic-fueled price spike of 2020-21, and is now focused on new, ground-up development with a current pipeline of six projects representing 630 residential units and approximately $110 million of new construction.

During his Navy career, beginning as nuclear propulsion technician before earning a commission as an officer in the Civil Engineer Corps, Gary was responsible for over $2 billion in construction projects including several thousand units of all types of housing as well as a full spectrum of commercial and industrial projects on four continents requiring extensive knowledge emerging technologies of the time and always requiring complex logistics and precise cost control.  Over 20 years, beginning as a field construction manager, and culminating as Assistant Chief of Staff for Training of the 70,000 members of the Naval construction force and other shore forces, he has always focused on optimizing project budget, schedule and quality to meet mission requirements.

Gary’s other credentials include a BS in Nuclear Engineering from Oregon State University, an MS in Civil Engineering, and an MS in Finance from the University of Maryland, and an EMS from the Advanced Management Program of Tench Francis Business School at University of Georgia.  Gary is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE72732) and Building Contractor (CBC1259574) in Florida.

As founders of xEquity Group, our personal journeys shape our mission. We have been dear friends since childhood and were both born in economically challenging circumstances overseas—experiences that informed our perspective on access, opportunity, and long-term financial security.

These experiences led us to build xEquity as a platform providing broader access to institutional-quality investment strategies, including real estate equity and credit, as well as select alternative investments governed by the same discipline around underwriting, execution, and oversight.
